Serengeti National Park is a national park in the Serengeti region of Tanzania.

This area is famous for the annual migration of more than one and a half million African wild cattle and 250,000 zebras.

Due to its size and the large number of animals and predators in it, this park is often known as the best nature reserve in the African continent.

In addition to being a suitable place for migration, this park is a shelter for other animals, including predators such as lions.  The most important creatures of this natural park are as follows:

Lion: The Serengeti is home to the largest population of lions in Africa and this is due to the abundance of prey for these animals in this region.  Currently, nearly 3,000 lions live in this ecosystem.

African leopard: These reclusive animals are mostly seen in the Seronera region, but with a population of over 1,000, they are scattered throughout the park.

African elephant: The population of this species is increasing after a sharp decline in the 1980s due to poaching.  They are mostly present in the northern areas of the park.

Black rhinoceros: The number of these animals in the park is very low due to illegal hunting and rarely a few of them enter the park from the northern borders.

African buffalo: in great numbers, these animals have very healthy herds in the park, but their numbers have decreased slightly due to disease.

The Serengeti is also home to other species such as cheetah, deer, tupi, hyena, antelope, impala, African wild dog, and giraffe.
