Let’s learn more about the types of bitumen packaging

Bitumen is utilized in various construction, road, and chemical industries. Below, I will provide information about the bitumen packaging process.

Packaging process: Bitumen packaging process is done in refining plants using special equipment. After production and refining, bitumen is boiled in barrels or grains and then packaged.

Bitumen is packaged in various forms, including Drums, jumbo bags, and bulk. In the following, I will explain more information about each of these types of packages:

Drums:

Drums are used to pack bitumen. These Drums are usually made of metal (such as steel) or plastic. The size of the Drums may vary, but in most cases, the standard Drum volume is around 200 liters. The Drums have lids and taps that are used to extract bitumen. Drums are suitable for transporting and storing bitumen.

Jumbo Bag:

Jumbo bags are a type of larger packaging used for large-scale transportation and storage of bitumen. These bags are usually made of durable materials such as reinforced polyester and have the ability to withstand high volume and weight. Jumbo bags can hold a volume of up to several hundred tons of bitumen and can be transported using cranes or larger machinery using materials such as pallets and metal frames.

Bulk:

Bitumen is also packed in bulk, which means that bitumen is stored and transported in large tanks with a volume of up to several thousand tons. This type of packaging is mostly used in large industries such as road construction and construction projects. Bitumen is transported by special
